Who We Are

In June 2004, a group of Cary community members took steps to make the brightest stars within reach for the students of Cary District 26. As a result of their efforts, the Cary 26 Education Foundation was formed. The Foundation is a non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors and supported by additional volunteers. The Foundation, which is a separate entity from the District 26 Board of Education, relies entirely on generous contributions to support enrichment programs that are not financed with tax dollars. These educational enhancements help make our students shine as they focus on their future.

Our Mission

The Cary 26 Education Foundation supports programs that expand and enrich the educational experience for students in School District 26. It does this through:

  • Awarding grants to teachers
  • Funding endowments to benefit District 26 students and families
  • Sponsoring extracurricular events
The Foundation is a non-profit organization that accomplishes these goals through fundraising efforts and the support of people like you.

Come join the Board of Directors for our monthly meeting on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Contact us at info@cary26foundation.org to confirm the location.

The Foundation is currently seeking volunteers to expand the following committees: Fundraising, Grants, and Public Relations/Communications.
