Become a Volunter
Make a Difference in the Cary Community
As we all know, it takes many people to make an organization run smoothly. At the Cary 26 Education Foundation, we have many wonderful and talented people who help make our Foundation successful, but we need more. We need you! Volunteers are an integral part of the Foundation. Get involved with good cause – the future of our children in Cary. Join us on the first Tuesday of each month for our Board of Directors meetings. By becoming a Director, you can help decide where our dollars are spent. You can also choose an area of interest and you don't have to be a Director to help out. Here are just a few of the committees that could use your help:
Golf Outing Committee
Our summer fundraising event is always a ton of fun. Before the event, we need help planning the theme and implementing the days events. Other areas include tracking ticket sales and soliciting sponsors and donors. Come be a part of our official committee! On the day of the event, we need volunteers to help with check-in, officiate our prize holes, take pictures, set-up decorations for dinner as well as check-in for dinner-only guests.
Carybbean Event Committee
Want to help plan our next bigger and better Carybbean event? Join the committee and help out in public relations, entertainment and decor, venue and ticket sales, auction and raffle items or coordinate volunteers for the night of the event. This late winter event is a fun reminder that warmer days are just around the corner.
Foundation Core Committees
We have four core committees and we are always looking for help in any area. They include:
Public Relations Committee
Handles all publicity including newspaper articles, newsletter and web site.
Fundraising Committee
Develops ideas to help raise money for its grants and endowments.
Grants Committee
Evaluates each grant application to see if it meets the Foundation’s basic requirements and then brings it to the Board to be voted on.
Development Committee
Identifying and recruiting volunteers for various events as well as looking for committee members, people to join the Board of Directors, etc.
